Over the weekend my goal is to make some changes to my blog. For example, I really want to change the title.
I had thought about creating a blog for a while and one day I just needed to do it. I didn’t brainstorm very much about what a good title might be and I really don’t like the title that my blog currently has. For any readers out there, be aware of the potential change! I also want to make my blog less boring. I do want to keep things clean on the blog but right now everything is a little boring to me. My goal is to change some stuff around and even add a few new pages to help organize everything better!
Happy Friday everyone!! I am so excited it is the weekend. Yes, even the unemployed get excited for the weekend. The weekend means that Phil is around to hang out with! And it means that I don’t feel guilty when I’m not applying for jobs! Woohoo.
It’s another gorgeous day here in Madison! I wanna quickly get a post under my belt so I can get my day started! 🙂
My to-d0 list is rather long today. I live by lists. Being unemployed for the time being I have found making lists make the days go by faster and make me feel a little less lazy. Yeah, sure, maybe I should just eat this all up and enjoy my time off and soak up the sun all day every day…but to be honest, I feel like a waste if I do that. I need to keep busy in order to feel good about myself. Lists help with that!
Breakfast this morning was super quick and easy.
You can never go wrong with a bowl of cereal! I have been absolutely loving MultiGrain Cheerios lately. They are so delicious! And another plus with a bowl of cereal is that I get a little bit of milk thrown into my diet. I am not one to have a glass of milk with dinner (obviously I prefer wine :)), so I have been trying to incorporate it into my diet in other ways. Bowl of cereal: delicious and nutritious! 😉
Now that I’m fueled up and ready to go it’s time to get crackin’ on this to-do list. Check ya later!

Happy Monday!! This week is my last full week of work. Eeek! I can’t believe it! It is so crazy how fast this move is creeping up on me. Definitely need to get real serious this week about everything. Is it bad I haven’t packed one thing yet? Whoops!
My morning started off with a banana parfait.
- 1 cup of vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 cup of Trader Joe’s Almond Granola
- 1/2 a banana
This should energize me enough to make some serious progress on my continuously growing to-do list. I’m feeling the pressure of needing to get so many things done before my replacement gets here next week!
To do lists are the only way that I can ever stay organized. I also love the sense of accomplishment when I can cross something off the list!

Yesterday leaving work I felt like I had a lot of leftover work hanging over my head. I told myself that I was going to start off my day with my favorite iced coffee, avoid all forms of social network, and zone in on my list of things to do.
Well, this is not how my day has started off. Here is how my morning has gone so far:
- Open Outlook (avoiding everything work related)
- Open Gmail
- Log in to Facebook, stalk Facebook, close Facebook
- Log in to Twitter
- Find out Kim Kardashian is engaged
- Read about Kim Kardashian’s engagement
- Log in to Blog
- Reopen Facebook
- Gchat Leigh, Rachel, and Anthony
- Open Google Reader
- Read all the blogs that I follow
- Gchat Chelsea (she is in Thailand! which means I have to talk to her every chance I get!)
- Open Pandora (Adele station today)
- Write blog post
So, here I am! I have had QUITE the productive morning, don’t ya think 😉
I just want to touch upon Google Reader for a second. I love using it because I never miss a post on all of my favorite blogs and websites. It is a great way to stay organized as well! However, it is the biggest distraction ever. Right now seeing that there are 89 articles that I haven’t read yet overwhelms me.
I highly suggest Google Reader. I’m sure most of you may already use this device but in case you don’t, here is what you do. Log into gmail and at the top you will see a tab that says “Reader.” Click on this and there will be a tutorial on how to use Google Reader. Over on the left hand side, copy and paste the link of the blog/website that you want to keep up with. Now you will never miss out on an article from your favorite bloggers/websites! Go ahead and add my blog to your reader 😉

Today was a cross everything off your to do list type of day! I live by lists….lists at work, lists for errands, lists for reminders, lists of things I want to buy, and the list goes on. Today it felt good at work when I was able to cross everything off of my to do list! I had initially wanted to designate two hours to making edits and additions to the company website….four hours later I was still trekking along! It felt good to accomplish a lot at work today…but the day still didn’t seem to go by fast enough! I wanted the end of the day to get here so I could hop in my parents car and head for PA to visit my sister.

We are heading to PA to watch my sister kick some butt in her softball games. She is a senior at a small college in PA and has made a name for herself breaking all sorts of school records! We couldn’t pass up heading down to be there for her senior day games! I’m such a proud sister ;).
Off to pack a quick bag before the rents get here and we hit the road! I have my goodie bag of leftover Easter candy to enjoy during the 6 hour car ride. Wooo, road trip!
